Our nervous system shapes how we experience the world—impacting how we connect, collaborate, and create. Yet, most of us navigate life without a deep understanding of how it works or how to support it for greater resilience, creativity, and wellbeing. At the heart of this work is enhancing our response-ability—our capacity to respond rather than react in each moment. When we understand our nervous system, we can cultivate greater choice, clarity, and flexibility in how we engage with challenges, relationships, and creative opportunities.

About the Workshop

This online session introduces Polyvagal Theory as a powerful framework for understanding and regulating your nervous system. Whether you’re: ✔️ navigating high-pressure work environments, ✔️ engaging in deep creative work, ✔️ leading teams, or ✔️ simply seeking more balance in daily life, this session offers practical insights and strategies to help you build resilience, strengthen relationships, and cultivate a greater sense of ease.

Why This Matters

We are living in changing times. Many of us are feeling the impact of chronic stress, uncertainty, and pressure—whether through the rise of burnout, fast-moving and high-stakes work, or the emotional toll of engaging with complex challenges. But supporting your nervous system isn’t just about avoiding burnout—it’s about cultivating the conditions for clarity, creativity, and connection. At the heart of Polyvagal Theory is the idea that our nervous system is constantly scanning for cues of safety or danger, shaping how we show up in our work, relationships, and communities. By understanding this, we can learn to work with our nervous system rather than against it.

What You’ll Gain from This Session

✅ Understand the core states of the nervous system Learn about how your nervous system responds to stress and safety through the three main states—social engagement (ventral vagal), fight/flight (sympathetic), and shutdown (dorsal vagal)—and why this matters for communication, decision-making, and creativity. ✅ Recognise your personal nervous system patterns Learn about common patterns of how bodies and minds respond to stress to help you notice early signs of dysregulation so you can respond with greater clarity and self-compassion. ✅ Explore simple, practical regulation techniques Experience gentle, accessible techniques to shift your nervous system toward balance—practices you can use in the moment to support resilience, presence, and wellbeing in work, relationships, and creative practice. ✅ Rethink self-care through a nervous system lens Self-care isn’t just about relaxation—it’s about sustaining yourself in a way that helps you stay present, engaged, and resilient. You’ll leave with simple, practical ideas to integrate self-care into your daily life—without it feeling like just another task on your to-do list. ✅Receive a workbook with reflective somatic exercises Continue your exploration beyond the session with guided practices and reflections designed to help you integrate what you’ve learned. 🔹 Leaders, facilitators, and team members who want to build cultures of care, collaboration, and innovation. 🔹 Professionals in high-stress environments seeking greater resilience and emotional regulation. 🔹 Creatives, designers, and change-makers navigating uncertainty and complexity in their work. 🔹 Anyone curious about the science of stress, connection, and human behaviour.

Why This Work Matters

The more we understand and support our nervous systems, the better we can support ourselves, each other, and the systems we are part of. This session isn’t just about reducing stress—it’s about developing the awareness and tools to navigate life and work with more ease, clarity, and connection. We are in an era of rapid change, complexity, and increasing demands. The ability to self-regulate and co-regulate is foundational—not just for personal wellbeing but for building more sustainable, human-centred workplaces, communities, and systems. At its core, this work is about enhancing our response-ability—our ability to meet the moment with presence, awareness, and adaptability, rather than being driven by stress, overwhelm, or habitual reactions.
